​Melody Zenith is a dark wave enchantress, mysteriously weaving melodies and poetry into dramatic, electronic soundscapes. Her sound is different from your average dark wave artist, featuring glossy walls of glistening synths, pulsing bass, and melancholy melodies. Her complex lyrics evoke gothic sensibilities, featuring themes of romance, darkness,  the mythical, and magical. At the same time, there's an element of glamour. It's a macabre love letter to classic cinema. The retro elements are there both sonically and stylistically, drawing from eras long past and reviving them, placing them in a fresh context. 

 

Melody was born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, and is the daughter of a legendary local guitarist. Her pop music is inspired by post-punk, dark wave, and other forms of dark underground music.  She released her first single ‘Strangers’ under Melody Zenith in October of 2023, and her second single ‘Fame’ in December of 2023. Since the beginning of 2024, she has been steadily building buzz in the underground music scene thanks to the hundreds of popular Spotify playlists that have added her tracks, along with receiving college radio airplay on over 25 different stations around the country, even landing a charting position in Portland.
